Nestled in the heart of Epping Forest you can find the Original Tea hut. Starting from its humble beginnings in the 1920’s it is still today a popular place for people to stop off and enjoy a proper cup of good old fashioned loose leaf tea or one of our speciality coffee’s and to eat from our surprisingly large menu of quality food.
Fresh baked bread served daily, home cooked salt beef always available and our famous homemade traditional bread pudding

Our menu
Even though we are just a little green hut in the middle of an ancient woodland we pride ourselves on a wide and comprehensive menu that is stacked with choice from good old fashioned bacon and egg sandwich to smoked salmon and scrambled egg presented on fresh baked granary.
Our sausages are specially supplied from a Smithfield market blue band butcher, Our gourmet burgers we believe are simply the best!

For over 80 years the business has been catering to all the visitors to the area, starting in its humble beginnings as a refreshment stall to the then famous High beech speedway to its current busy kitchen serving our regular and new customers alike
